Leading Hand – Irrigation

Formed in 2006 and previously known as Riverina Water Engineering, Yenda Prods Irrigation (RWE) is a collaboration between Yenda Producers Co-operative and Jak Ormesher. For over a decade RWE has expanded to become a major irrigation company and has gained recognition for introducing new technology and practices to the water industry.

RWE is growing and is looking for a suitably experienced professional to join the team.

About the role
In this fulltime role, you will be responsible for the supervision of all aspects of irrigation project installation while managing a team of Irrigation Installers.

Key Responsibilities
• Reading, understanding and implementing irrigation plans and designs.
• Leading and supervising field crew on site to ensure efficient and accurate completion of works.
• Reporting to and communicating with management in respect of project installations.
• Working with the Project Manager to ensure project installations are properly resourced with sufficient staff, tools, materials and machinery to enable works to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensuring the project site meets all relevant WHS, quality and risk management standards and all applicable WHS and quality management paperwork is completed.
• Modelling safe work practices for all staff, contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
• Maintaining accurate records for completed jobs.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining and developing positive relationships with customers, contractors and suppliers.

About you
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate irrigation industry (or closely related) experience. They will be self-motivated, organised and capable of leading and working collaboratively within a team.

We are seeking someone with:
• A positive, passionate and proactive attitude and a desire to work within a challenging and diverse work environment.
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• National License to Perform High Risk Work – LF (to be obtained on job, if not current).
• Current Motor Vehicle licence (manual).
• Competency based assessment for use of other Plant and Equipment including Trencher & Excavator.
• Construction Industry White card.
